About the Blue Mountains
Hi Guys,
Only if you really think about Hunter Valley wine tours?! We have more detailed information about Leura Cascades
There’s something about this World Heritage Blue Mountains region that sticks with you. Perhaps it’s the eucalyptus trees throwing a blue haze across the ridges, or the cliffs glowing gold at sunset while birds fill the valleys with their evening song. Whatever it is, every time I leave Sydney behind and drive west toward the mountains’ fading light, I’m reminded why this World Heritage Listed National Park is one of Australia’s most beautiful landscapes.
I’ve been showing visitors the magic of this region — from the iconic Three Sisters at Echo Point to Jenolan Caves and the Megalong Valley — for years, and believe me, the this is not something you tick off in a day. They’re the perfect escape from urban chaos, a wild cathedral carved from rock and filled with forest-scented air.
A short 90-minute drive from Sydney’s Circular Quay, the region is part of the wider Greater Blue Mountains conservation region. It’s a vast World Heritage sanctuary, extending right out to Wollemi National Park. It’s a patchwork of steep gorges, rainforests and eucalypt forests, sheltering a huge diversity of Australian wildlife, featuring lyrebirds, wallabies, and even the rare dingo.
