Peter Zeihan's group uses an open source network of reporters to collate news information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NTahO2hvuI The trick for creating any new decentralized group is to take over an existing decentralized group. The idea would be to convince them to use a DAO structure to guarantee a greater fidelity to the truth because of decentralized policing with well-balanced incentives.
