The Software Review DAO (srDAO) is a for-profit DAO which reviews software according to standardized protocols which can be validated by the other review expert members of the DAO.
Value proposition
The primary value of the work of the srDAO is for generating useful information about whether or not new products and new patches and versions of existing products are trustworthy and important additions to different users' systems. The secondary value proposition would be that the srDAO could generate multiple versions of optimal builds--full software setups for smart phones or laptops or multimonitor home systems.
Once the DAO has proven its value, by generating many users, then companies with new software releases would pay for more timely reviews by multiple reviewers in order to streamline possible validation and/or adoption into the recommended optimal builds.
Example software builds
Optimal build recommendations would have many different parameters to optimize over. Currently, there is a great need for a way to improve the way people use technology. Adults, but especially children, are using their social media and file sharing platforms in dangerous ways that lead to negative outcomes. The srDAO would have different versions of optimal builds for different people.
For example, parents would be given recommended builds for their children's devices that monitored the use of different software, with recommended educational and entertainment videos. Parents would have more control of the parameters they are willing to provide for their children with analyses of the consequences of the different choices. ZK proof tech can be used to share information to improve the function of the platform without loss of privacy.
As another example, professionals in a particular field would be able to share their builds for review by other professionals in order to make recommendations to come to consensus on multiple recommended builds.
